New Montana License Plate Available NOW!
YWS is extremely excited to announce the release of our NEW Montana License Plate! The plate is now available at the county building in Red Lodge as well as other motor vehicle offices throughout the state. The proceeds from the license plate sales are a large part of our budget, and we need YOU to buy this gorgeous plate and support YWS! The background photo was taken by Merv Coleman and is entitled "East Rosebud with Wood Lilies". This is, of course, in our own backyard on the Beartooth front. The Mountain Lion is YWS's own Sacajawea. Please support YWS and put this gorgeous and very 'Red Lodge' plate on your car. The plate is available at any time, not just when you renew your registration. The cost will not be more than $50 for the plate ($65 for personalized plates).
Thank you for supporting YWS in this important initiative.
Check out the 'In The News' tab and the 'What's New' tab. There are lots of great things happening at YWS!
As you will see when you make your way through this site we are dedicated to the care of Yellowstone ecosystem wildlife that cannot return to the wild due to injury or human imprinting. We ask our non-releasable wild animals to act as ambassadors to help teach visitors about the value of wildlife, habitat preservation and conservation. We hope you’ll come and visit us in person, but if you can’t make it to Montana right away, we hope all the stories, photos and videos will help you keep up with our residents. Stay tuned for our new webcam, which will allow us to video stream our ‘kids’ right into your living room. See the donation page if you’d like to donate to the purchase of this webcam!
By caring for animals unable to return to the wild, the Yellowstone Wildlife Sanctuary’s primary focus is to educate the public about the protection and conservation of Yellowstone ecosystem wildlife and natural habitats.
